Since 2025, optimized generative tools have accelerated the commercial expansion of AI comic dramas, positioning them as a rising phenomenon in the audiovisual industry. While structurally resembling traditional micro dramas, AI comic dramas disrupt conventional production paradigms through AI driven script generation, automated shot creation, and algorithmic image generation. This hybrid ontology—balancing technological artifact and artistic self-sustenance—remains conceptually ambiguous. Driven by market expansion, the medium risks narrowing into a commercial vehicle dominated by instrumental rationality, causing artistic production concepts to dissolve. Drawing on existential phenomenology, this study posits that technology and art share an ontological origin as modes of unconcealment (Aletheia). Currently, the convergence of platform capital and computational efficiency reduces technology’s revealing nature into a utilitarian Ge-stell (gestell/enframing), commodifying both the work and the creator (Dasein) into predictable technological objects. To resolve this artistic imbalance, this paper proposes a generalized ecological production view. By conceptualizing the AI comic drama as a self-sustaining entity situated within the fourfold interplay of Dasein, beings, and the surrounding world, this framework expands artistic interpretation and transforms viewers into active participants. In doing so, it bridges the rift between digital texts and lived reality, counteracting algorithmic homogenization and achieving the authentic restoration of both technology and art. This ecological approach provides new pathways for digital media production while critically enriching contemporary philosophy of technology.
