Yachiyo Nanzenji is a historical and cultural gem in Kyoto, located near the famed Nanzen-ji Temple. The restaurant is nestled inside a Taisho-era Japanese garden, designed by the renowned garden architect Jihei Ogawa VII (1860-1933), offering a tranquil location for delegates to convene after the plenaries and enjoy an autumn evening with Japanese cuisine.

Established over a century ago, Yachiyo is well-known for traditional Kyo-kaiseki, a Kyoto-style multi-course menu rooted in 16th century tea ceremony, which pays homage to Japan's seasonal beauty through artful presentation and delicate flavours.

What is Kaiseki?

Kaiseki is a traditional Japanese multi-course meal that embodies the principles of Japanese culinary arts. It’s often considered the epitome of Japanese fine dining, and it emphasises seasonal ingredients, delicate flavours, and artistic presentation.
