This study examined the teaching practices of Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH) majors and non-MAPEH teachers in selected secondary schools in Northern Samar. It sought to describe the respondents' demographic profile, assess their teaching practices across key instructional domains, and determine the relationship between selected personal variables and teaching practices. The study employed a descriptive-quantitative research methodology. A total of 104 teachers participated in the study. Data were collected using a structured survey questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. Findings revealed that MAPEH majors were generally younger, female, married, occupying entry-level teaching positions, and possessing less than 10 years of teaching experience. Most had attended professional development seminars focusing on dance. For non-MAPEH teachers, they were also female, married, Master's degree holder, occupied Teacher III positions, had longer teaching experience, and attended seminars on fitness exercises and first aid. The results further indicated that both MAPEH and non-MAPEH teachers demonstrated excellent teaching practices across instructional domains, including classroom instructional processes, classroom management, and teaching strategies. Statistical analysis revealed that age was significantly related to classroom instructional processes and classroom management, while sex showed a significant relationship with classroom strategies. Civil status however, was not significantly related to teaching practices. The study concludes that both MAPEH and non-MAPEH teachers exhibit strong instructional practices despite differences in professional preparation. It is recommended that schools should continue to provide professional development programs in specialized MAPEH competencies to further enhance instructional effectiveness.
