The study is grounded on finding out the level of Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Vulnerability to Misinformation (VM). As well it intended to determine if a significant relationship exists between the variables. For determining the MIL level, UNESCO’s framework was used with some items edited to contextualize to the local setting. While questions for VM was crafted from a collection of related literature in the field. While the test of relationship was determined through the Pearson correlation. The data show that the respondents have High Competence in relation to Access, Analysis, and Response variables of MIL. Specifically, the sub-variable “access to information, media content, and media and information providers” shows advance competence level. While under the analysis variable, understanding information and media also elicited the advance competence level. And no item under the response variable show advanced level interpretation; And all other sub-variables elicit High Competence level. On the other hand, Vulnerability to Misinformation is rated to be Below average, with all three (3) sub-variables rendering the same interpretation – Source Verification, Confirmation Bias, and Illusory Truth Effect. Meanwhile, the Pearson correlation revealed a significant relationship between MIL and MV. More specifically, the result revealed that the respondents skills in accessing, analyzing, and responding to information are correlated to Source Verification and Illusory Truth Effect, but no significant correlation with Confirmation Bias.
